The Alliance Art Café is housed in a French colonial building built in 1953, on the former grounds of the French Cultural Centre. It is a French restaurant but it also has a fine selection of Cambodian dishes to whet your appetite. There is a variety of exhibition spaces spread out over 300 square metres, which includes the restaurant, a sculpture garden, a café and a new open-air veranda upstairs, so you can enjoy some artworks before you settle down for your meal.

This place is out of the price range of backpackers but still worth to splurge on if you have the extra dosh anyway. The architecture and beautifully kept grounds are worth the price of an iced coffee! Comment by michellechee on 28/07/2010
