Beng Mealea is similar to design to Angkor Wat, but on 1 level instead of 4. This is the one place where you can literally climb the temple ruins and feel like Lara Croft/Indiana Jones. Nature has been allowed to run riot here, it is utterly consumed by the jungle. Fallen boulders, trees on rooftops, roots encircling stone blocks..Tree roots and algae are everywhere. It is in total ruins. The beauty is tourists are scarce and you may well have the place to yourself. Enjoy and feel the magic of this ancient temple!
