In this episode of Trips and Tips, Vivian Chong, editor of Going Places, Malaysia Airlines' inflight magazine, takes you to the capital city of New Zealand, Auckland! Auckland is, above all else a maritime city. It is built astride a narrow isthmus that bridges two coasts; the Tasman Sea to the west and Pacific Ocean to the east. The isthmus itself enfolds two magnificent harbours, the Manukau and its more famous twin, the Waitemata Harbour. Vivian gives her peek to New Zealand's more colourful culture. There is something new and different in every turn. Vivian also gives her take to the suburban area where she finds it all very bohemian and artistic and also the Queen Street, the major commercial in Auckland. Besides that, Vivian share her tips for a side trip to the Waiheke Island which is only 35 minutes away. A great destination for summer!
